If You Are in Crisis
If you or someone you care about is in immediate danger, call 911. If it helps the responders, you can tell the operator it is a mental health emergency and ask for a Crisis Intervention Team officer.
If you are having thoughts of suicide, or you are in emotional distress or a mental health or substance use crisis, you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, or chat online at 988lifeline.org. Someone trained is there 24 hours a day, every day, and the call is free and confidential. In New Jersey, your call is answered by an in-state center that can connect you to local support, including a mobile response team that can come to you if you need it.
You do not have to decide whether things are “bad enough.” If you are struggling and not sure where to turn, these lines are for you.
How Fully Human Wellness Can Help
Fully Human Wellness is a telehealth counseling practice, not an emergency or crisis service. I see clients by appointment, and I am not available around the clock. Phone messages, email, and the client portal are not monitored between sessions, so I may not see a message right away. If you are facing an emergency or you need to talk to someone now, please reach out to one of the resources on this page instead of waiting for me to respond. I usually reply to messages within one business day.
