My Commitment to Web Accessibility

Fully Human Wellness is committed to making this website work for as many people as possible. That includes folks who use assistive technology like screen readers, screen magnifiers, and alternative keyboards to get around the web.

Ongoing Efforts to Ensure Accessibility

I use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 as my guide for what accessible means. They’re a worldwide set of best practices for making web content easier to use. As I add new pages and features, I check the design, code, and content against them.

Accessibility is an ongoing process. I test the site against WCAG 2.1 Level AA and fix the issues I find. My goal is to meet that standard as closely as I can. I use common tools for this, like the Accessibility Checker WordPress Plugin, color contrast analyzers, keyboard-only navigation, and Flesch-Kincaid readability checks.

Accessibility Features On This Site

Here are some things I’ve added to make this site easier to use:

  • Limited animation on the Fully Human Wellness logo
  • Color contrast checked against WCAG AA on text and buttons
  • Accessibility updates in the Contact Me form
  • High-contrast and large text buttons

Where I’m Improving

I’m still working on these areas:

  • Form accessibility

All of this is part of making your experience at Fully Human Wellness a welcoming one. I do my best to keep my own pages accessible. But I can’t promise the same for any third-party sites I link to.
